This 1967 pilot for a Wonder Woman TV show is just a little totally crappy. Instead of the hot, heroic Wonder Woman who handed out erotic beatdowns, this one is a schoolmarmish nerd who is too stupid to sit on a couch and read the newspaper at the same time. I wonder how close this was to actually going into production.
This would have been much better if the announcer said:
"WHO KNOWS SHE'S AS STRONG AS HERCULES! WHO KNOWS SHE'S AS SMART AS ATHENA! But she doesn't know that she has herpes. Remember, she might be a wonder women in bed but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be safe. Wear a condom, be safe with Trojan."
If the free world needs saving (from rain), why does she spend two minutes preening in front of the mirror? And I realize it's from 1967 but couldn't they have tried just a little bit harder with the flying take-off? Or is it a comedy? Oh God, that makes it worse.
