According to people.com, Blair from The Facts Of Life has come out in support for Jamie Lynn Spears’s pregnancy.

Whelchel, who played the preppy Blair Warner on the sitcom The Facts Of Life, has come to Spears’s defense after the 16-year-old Nickelodeon star earned mostly derision following her announcement that she is pregnant.

“I’m very passionate about wanting to speak out on behalf of this young girl,” Whelchel, now 44, tells ABC News.

I’m so glad we’ve heard from her.  When I saw Jamie Lynn was pregnant I immediately thought “I wish I could get perspective on her pregnancy.  If only someone could interview BLAIR FROM THE F*&KING FACTS OF LIFE.”  I mean,   She’s in such demand these days, I wonder where she even found the time to give this interview.  They must have caught her while she was re-filling the salt and pepper shakers after the lunch rush during her shift at TGI Fridays.

I’m so proud of her for stepping up and being courageous and taking responsibility for her choices, and I believe she’s being a good role model.”

She went on to say, “Also,  if anyone wants to hire me for any private parties, call me.  I come with my own mop and cleaning supplies.”
