People, he wasn't being f*&king pejorative! Come on! There wasn't anything pejorative about it! First of all, what the hell has happened in America when you have to apologize for saying someone was "pimped out?" If he had said "They're pimping Chelsea Clinton out like a dirty herpes-infected hooker, then maybe, MAAAAAYBE I could see an apology necessary. Secondly, why is it when some network dude apologizes from something dumb he said, we have to hear a 2 minute recap of bullshit before he can apologize, and when he does he uses words like pejorative. How about "Hey, I'm a robot that panders to a small group of easily offended people. I apologize to those people. Thank you."
I agree with you whole-heartedly. He shouldn't have had to apologize. Hillary Clinton and her camp have blown Shuster’s comments way out of proportion. They are using this opportunity to avoid some real issues by spinning his comment, making themselves look like victims, and playing on the ignorance of the general public (or at least anyone who may have taken the comment as Hillary was a literally a pimp). It may have been a poor decision for Shuster to incorporate slang in his commentary, but this is ridiculous.
He said that Chelsea was “being pimped out”. He also said that "Chelsea's out there calling up celebrities". No one would argue the latter statement, but they are trying to downplay possible manipulation on having Chelsea make those calls (do the Romney kids know anyone from the View?).
He was offensive and should be fired. Regardless of whose kids, Mitt's (his sons did more campaigning than Chelsea), George W's, anyone’s. He's an oaf and I'm amazed that you think suspension is enough.

This would be a completely different story if Hillary was really trying to pimp out Chelsea.
