Love can make a man do crazy things. Apparently it can also make a mouse consider blowing his tiny little head off. In these old cartoons, Minnie left Mickey for some city slicker, and, being the hillbilly mouse that he is, Mickey doesn't think he can ever get her back. So, he does what any newly single man/mouse with low self-esteem and an unbelievably effeminate voice would do: He considers offing himself.
I think the moral of this story is that killing yourself because your life partner left you is wrong, but it just comes across as creepy and sad. See how the story plays out after the jump.

Not propaganda, cartoons and comics weren't written for children until the 60's and 70's. It wasn't like these were for 3 yr olds, these were written for adults. Same with Buggs and Daffy.

These are good little cartoons. Mickey Mouse thinking about suicide then changing his mind. How many people have thought about killing themselves at least once in heir lifetime? Especially now a days when some people don't even need to watch tv to see gun fights now. The media tries to shock people into remembering products, and each generation becomes more desensatised to sex and violence. The days where the vows of marrage are kept sacred are over. Open your eyes people, the world is screwed!! population is outta control, volence is now a common part of everyday living, can't ignore the climate problems we've got going on, you know the ice caps Melting and all, the wars, desease famine and lets not forget polution!! Kinda scary to look at the big picture. At least in the cartoon there is a happy ending. Which is him realising his stupidity. I wish the human race could do the same. Even then, how could we take back the damage?
So the real sick posts that we all see aren't really all that scary to me, not when you look at the big picture.
