Shia LaBeouf So Very Very Sorry

So, yesterday a video was posted on youtube that showed Shia LaBeouf really drunk at some party and asking some dude to slap him in the face. Then when the dude was like, "I don't know...", LaBeouf goes "Come on bro, don't be a faggot." Unclear whether or not at the time he was president of a Sigma Chi fraternity house, but unlikely since he didn't attend college. The video has since been taken down by youtube and now Shia is apologizing. People.com reports:

"The videotape that is currently being circulated is several years old and captures Shia playing a game among friends in which he uses a derogatory word toward a friend," LaBeouf's rep continued. "He regrets having used the word in any capacity and is very embarrassed that this footage is being seen by anyone."

I kept reading further in the story, waiting for the part in the apology where he says "Currently there's also a video being circulated that captures Shia shittily attempting to play a 50's greaser alongside Harrison Ford in the jungles of South America. He is also very embarassed this footage is being seen by anyone."

It seems like these celebrity videos kind of come and go and there's a small firestorm, but if you have a good enough publicist they seem to disappear. Unless you're Michael Richards. Anyway, before Shia's publicist magically makes this disappear, I'd like to show you a book he wrote earlier in his career. His homophobia has roots:
