Chinese Metal Band With Growling Female Singer - Watch more free videos
Death metal is hilarious. It's usually a bunch of doughy nerds dressed up as Oakland Raiders fans singing about the darkness of hellspawn's minions and consumed souls of the damned. But apparently in China they do it a bit differently. Instead of overweight guys, they use slender female lead singers who sound like a cross between Oscar the Grouch and an electric can opener. I'm not sure how she got her voice to do that, but I'd like to see if her speaking voice sounds like she's taking your order at a fast food drive-thru.
I tried to find the lyrics to this song, but apparently China doesn't let their death metal bands access the Internet. But after a few listens, I think I have them figured out. It seems that Chinese death metal lyrics are slightly different than American death metal lyrics. See if you can pick up on the subtle cultural differences.

Dimmu Borgir is pretty tame as far as black metal goes. Listen to something by Darkthrone and you'll see what I mean.

Yo pratik, let me enlighten you. Dimmu Borgir is a NORWEGIAN balck metal band, they're pretty dark, too bad you cant read norwegian because some of their songs encourages satanics to go out slaughter christians.... not too bad right,,,

Uhhhh, you needed to find a band in China that had a female Death Metal singer? Look up Arch Enemy. There is many more out there.

I really wish a new hand-sign thing would to replace the thing where only your pointer and pinky finger are raised. It's so overdone. But ya, black metal is kind of funny. I've heard song titles like "Black Mephisto Maelstrom" and stuff... kind of creepy.
But there is this one Danish black metal band called Dimmu Borgir and they have these three songs that I listen to: "Fear & Wonder", "Perfection or Vanity", and "Sorgens Kammer". They're relativaly calm orchestrated pieces that isn't all super-duper-screamo and overly dark. Go Amazon/Limewire/torrent those three songs and you'll see what I mean.
