The humorous reason would be that he/she is one lazy SOB (Roseanne probably lives there).
I think the tags on this post were all appropriate. Thank gods I can now whittle down my search results from island cars in the driveway that are short and those on longer driveways.. keep up the good work.
They probably HAVE the car because there is a ferry somewhere that can transport it to the mainland. As for why it's in the middle of the driveway, I couldn't say.
