At first I thought the ad above was an ironic joke. Like when they call fat guys "Tiny" or Jim Belushi "talented." But they seriously have an ad asking you to "Be Smart" with a picture of Jessica Simpson above it. Usmagazine.com reports:
Jessica Simpson's ad for the Dallas-based beer Stampede Light Plus debuted Wednesday on Extra.
The singer, 28, says in the campaign: "I work out and take care of myself. But I also like a cold beer once in a while. That's why I made the smart choice with a smart beer. Stampede Light, it's beer plus."
I love that they actually have a quote from her at the bottom of this ad, below a picture of her titty hanging out. As if you're going to look at the ad, see her titty, and then be like "you know, I'm not buying she's into this beer, I need to hear a personal statement from her or- whoa, here we go! Right at the bottom! Nice."
How god damn lazy is the ad agency that came up with this campaign? It's like they had a meeting and the Creative director was like "Okay, let's do word association. Beer." and then some guy with his index fingers pressed to his mouth was like "titties." Then they were like "Done. Let's call it a day." I mean, why not sell everything this way:
