I don’t know anything about Korean culture, but I feel we could all learn a lot from their commercials. Which are, quite honestly, some of the strangest and most absurd I’ve ever seen.
1. This one is for a Korean ice cream, apparently. Though that’s not really revealed until the very end of this weird webcam/internet cafe/night club dance scene. And even then it’s not exactly clear what they’re promoting. But as with most advertising, we’ll sit through it if we get to stare at a hot chick for thirty seconds…
2. Creepy dolls are selling like whatever the Korean equivalent of “hotcakes” is. Apparently the movie Child’s Play wasn’t taken seriously over there…
3. I have no idea what this commercial is advertising, but there’s a well choreographed bus fight and a pretty girl, so I’ll buy it…
4. Come on, America! How did we not think of this first?
5. A Korean guy with a jew-fro? You have my undivided attention…
6. This is the story of a little girl who’s obsessed with catching a crawfish… So she can sell it to a Popeye’s franchise and they can put it on a sandwich…
7. You ever try to make out with a girl? Then she makes you chew gum, then a guy from some icelandic nation who’s dressed like a king shows up and totally cockblocks you? Happens in Korea all the time…

So wrong and yet so… fucked up!
