Reader Johnny W. sent in these pictures of his friend’s cat in a fight with a rat. These pictures are pretty unbelievable, but he has sworn on his life to me that they’re real. Which, in the internet world means a lot. Anyway, every time I’ve seen two humans fight, they always make super retarded faces, so it’s nice to know that animals do the same. For your viewing pleasure, I’ll break this down by rounds.
ROUND 1
The cat has come out in full force. This is just like the T-rex/Raptor scene at the end of the first Jurassic Park except we don’t have to look at Laura Dern use her “I have to shit” face in place of actual acting. ROUND 1 Winner: Cat
ROUND 2
I don’t even know what to say about this picture. I’m not even sure what’s going on. This looks like a scene from one of those Pixar movies where they try to parody the matrix. The cat looks stupid though, so I guess the rat wins. ROUND 2 Winner: Rat
ROUND 3
Looking at this picture I have no idea how anyone has EVER caught a rat in the history of the world. It’s launched it’s body through the air like a small furry missile, leaving the cat standing there, looking like it’s trying to karaoke a Guns N’ Roses song. ROUND 3 WINNER: Rat
ROUND 4
Now I’m emotionally invested in the rat. I don’t even like this picture. Stupid f*&king cat.

Not faked, just a cat tossing around a rat it’s killed. The funny part when cats do this is when they start to get bored or finally realize their “playmate” is dead and they just kinda sadly paw at it as if to say “Hey, come on, don’t you want to play any more?? Awww, man you suck, I’m goona go lick my balls instead.”

This is not the first unfortunate smaller animal Lil’ Bit has “fought” with. Seems like she still prefers my front lawn for playing with her prey.

Fake or not pics, the cat and mouse dance of death is correct!
Once cornered, the mouse lives in terror and the cat enjoys and delects avery second of it.
He now takes his time and observes his victim at all angles, and kills it slowly, or eats it alive!
It’s obvious that other animals like a dog for instance have a different approach, and more brutal, to kill his prey.
In that sense, the cat is unique in his delight in getting to, and killing his victim, and is very close to a human psychopath!
In #2 the cat appears to have taken the entourage approach and bore the rat to death with his Vincent Chase Impression

Sorry, rat fans. It looks to me like every pic there shows the cat “playing” with the near-dead rat by tossing it around.
I’ve lived with cats for many years, and have seen them enjoy this “sport” many, many times.
