Being a local news personality — no easy task. You have to be slightly more attractive than all the “regular” people in your market, and you have to be able to speak on camera without your stupid thoughts getting in the way. You deal with people recognizing you in public and holding you personally responsible for things like an inaccurate weather forecast and your opinion on local happenings. On a pretty regular basis, news anchors blow it. It’s bound to happen when you’re working in live TV and thanks to youtube, we all get to watch it happen over and over and over again!
