The Funny Pages From A 1933 German Newspaper

February 5th, 2009 | 10:23 am
Propaganda is a funny thing. And Germany during the 1930s was chock full of it. So we decided to take a look back at the funny pages of a German newspaper in 1933 to see if any of their government's propaganda made its way into the comics of the day.

If you read between the lines, I think you'll see even the funny pages weren't free from Germany's propaganda machine.

not to be the resident Nazi, but the Motherland is usually used to refer to Russia. The Fatherland is where the goose-steppers come from.

Not only is this offensive, but it is very immature and childlike. If whoever posted this is over the age of five, I think they need to be shot. It is very un-adult. This parody isn't even funny because if you had half a brain you would know that these comics weren't written until WAY after the conclusion of WWII. You're unintelligent use of the German language in order to create a laugh is retarded at best. Go kill your self.
