I’m perfectly happy with being called a Myth Busters fan boy. At least they represent the real scientific standard for experimentation and a strong skeptical viewpoint that this generation of network television is strongly lacking.

    HELLO FANBOYS!

rubbish, just the heating process can take up to 10,15 minutes.. the primer annealing takes another 30 seconds, the polymerisation is a process of several minutes, depending on the length of the chosen dna fragment.
and this is a process of 10-50 cycles.. 60 seconds is nowhere close the actual time needed.

PCR actually takes 60 seconds… I’m just sayin.

are you kidding? Just once I would like to see Myth Busters consider an actual equation during a show, or possibly make rudimentary spread sheet. Let’s be serious here. The only reason anyone watches is to see stuff get smashed.

  8. Buddy Ice says:

Myth Busters is real science; what exactly are you trying to say?

if you had actually read the caption, you would see that they are making fun of the fact that MythBusters base their decisions on a single data point. that is like polling one US citizen to figure out how Americans feel about their government–and using that one person’s opinion as your entire basis.
