Miss California Wants To Get "Opposite" Married

April 20th, 2009 | 06:02 am

So I guess if marriage between a man and a woman is now called "opposite marriage," then marriage between two women must be called "equal marriage." If that's the case, then you'll have to excuse me, as I need to download some equal porn for a little while.

I find it interesting that all the people saying how much God hates the gays and how "unnatural" gays are sound exactly like the same people who were talking about how evil interracial marriage was back in the 1960s. They used the bible then too, and they sure as hell talked about how unnatural it was for different races to marry. You're all just spouting off the same BS as those racist fucks back in the 1960s. How do you justify that?

So Perez, if that is your real name, what was the "correct" answer again? What's he doing turning what should by all means, be a vapid, superficial dog and pony show into a political soapbox. And it's quite humorous that he claims she's a bigot all the while using SEXIST terms like b---- and c--- about her in the media. Who's the bigot??? F Perez and his belief that 5% of the population should be catered too. Gay men already have the right to "marry", just not other men.

taking religion and morales out of this issue, biologically females and males are made to reproduce. it is your call whether being attracted to the same sex is something wrong with the person biologically.
think about that. people who are in same sex marriages are just hurting themselves, they cant reproduce and eventually their family will die off bc of that.
(long term consequences) Darwin survival of the fittest, species that cant reproduce will not survive, in general terms.

people stop comparing this to slavery and women's rights, this controversial issue should be compared to legalizing marijuana, bc homosexuality is about a person's personal perference, which biology and religion strongly oppose

    Here's a few things:

    1. You really didn't take out religion in your arguement. (See first 8 words and last 6 words)

    2. "people stop comparing this to slavery and women's rights, this controversial issue should be compared to legalizing marijuana, bc homosexuality is about a person's personal perference, which biology and religion strongly oppose"

Isn't religion a choice as well?

    2. "people stop comparing this to slavery and women's rights, this controversial issue should be compared to legalizing marijuana, bc homosexuality is about a person's personal perference, which biology and religion strongly oppose"

There are biological factors to homosexuality as well. Do your homework.

    3. The reality of the situation regarding american families in the US:

We're no longer the traditional family in the Leave It To Beaver sort of way. it hasn't been in quite a while. How many single parents are out there? I believe that the national figure for divorce is in the 50-60% nationally. If you want to maintain that status quo ( that hasn't been in existence for a good while) then I suggest we make divorces illegal. So what if people end up living their lives in destructive lies, it looks good on pictures...for the funeral.

    4. Biologically, you're right men and women do procreate. So let's do this: Let's invalidate the marriges of infertile couples, old people, and people who choose to adopt. Forget the fact that they may love each other or any other factors. Relationships are only about popping babies out, right?

    5. Evolutionally speaking, yes, the gays may die off, but are you seriously saying that they can not contribute a tiny bit to society, at the very least pay their share of taxes. If you are, I am completely for that! No more Sales and federal tax, I'm going on vacation! Woohoo!!!:-)

    6. As For the Gay Marriage thing. If you're opposed to it, don't get gay married. Marry a woman if you're a man or a man if you're a woman. Is the fact that someone else out there keeping you at half mast or less?

Here's the deal, and this goes to BOTH sides of the pro gay and anti gay marriage thing: Talk to each other. I don't meant in rallies and picket lines. Talk to each other like we're actually real people because that's what we are. We're both trying to do the best that we can and trying to do the right thing, but I think that both sides have forgotten that the other group is also trying to do the same thing. We've replaced each other in our mind with some evil stereotype set on destroying the world. There's certainly enough propaganda ( and money being made) on BOTH sides to push us in that direction. We're all diverse people. Not all gays are the same, not all religious people are the same. try getting to know them; you may not be as different as you were led to believe. The otherside is not the Devil.

I personally don't understand what legal right that gay people claim they are being denied in California (or many other states).

Are they being denied the right to get married? No, any man (gay or straight) can marry any woman (gay or straight). The law applies to both groups equally. There is no discrimination, as far as an individual right to marry is concerned.

"But the law doesn't allow two loving adults to get married!" True, in a way, but the law doesn't prohibit two people from loving each other. And the legal right to marry has nothing to do with love. It has never been a requirement that two people be in love in order to marry.

Gay people don't want to gain any rights they don't currently have. What they want to do is replace the current set of rights (which apply to everyone equally), with a new set of rights that is highly offensive to a majority of people in virtually every state that has put the issue to a popular vote. To allow that to be changed through judicial fiat (as it has in a few states), would trample on the Constitutional right to vote that most adults have in this nation.

The problem with too many people who are pushing for gay marriage is that they really don't have the legal knowledge to make a valid argument in their favor.

  10. Anonymous Says:

The argument over gay marriage is so trivial, just give them their rights already, they aren't going to stop being gay just because they can't get married. I really don't give a shit about the gay community as long as they don't personally attack me.

The actions of Mr. Perez were nothing short of a hate crime. He targetted this woman, who openly admitted that she was a christian, for this question. Her answer was none aggressive and stated that not something she was willing to practice personally. Perfectly good reply. His 'scoring' of her answer was solely for his gratification and advancement of his views. It was not based on her ability to speak or to form a reply to a cold question. He deliberately victimized her and her chance at the crown. She may or may not have won, but he made sure she could not. This was the action of a bully and a great example of the intolerant nature of some of the members of the gay movement.
