According to a
recent report posted on CNN.com, President Obama’s recent address to the nation regarding the Gulf oil spill was written at a 10th grade level. That’s a sophomore in high school, for those of you who didn’t make it that far. Don’t laugh, because as it turns out, that’s probably a lot of you.
See, the reason this story is news is because a speech written at that kind of grade level is in fact way too scholarly for the intended demographic to fully understand. Who’s the target demographic? You are, America! Way to be stupid!
However, because Holy Taco is nothing if not a means to improve society, we’ve decided to help. The issue in the Gulf is an important one that should be understood by all. With that in mind, we’ve taken some of the key points from Obama’s address to the nation and translated them into language more suited for the type of people who jump off of building onto trampolines and subsequently shatter their spine in the process.
