The objective of the liberal left (which includes the alphabet networks) was to demonize Bush in all ways possible to make their candidate and party look good. You would never see a photo like this appear involving the Obamas or even the Bidens. But you take Bush, Cheney, McCain and Palin and you see how the press has tried to smash one side and either totally ignore or praise the other side. Anybody heard that Caroline Kennedy quit her campaign under a cloud? No? Not surprising because she’s a Kennedy! Sometimes it’s not about who started it. Even if one concedes that our current problems stem from the Clinton era (I don’t), the biggest problem with the Bush administration is the way it handled each and every crisis that came its way with complete disregard for common sense and reason. Instead they chose to shove their heads up their asses and adhere blindly to an inconsistent ideology, thus wasting any opportunity they may have had to fix things.
A story to illustrate my point:
Your cousin from Arkansas shows up at your party and breaks your mom’s favorite antique vase. Instead of carefully handling the pieces and doing your best to put it back together (with your friends’ help) you decide to smack all the pieces with a hammer and sweep the pulverized remains under the rug. When your mom gets home and sees her vase is gone you quickly blame that crazy cousin of yours.
