You've Been Caught Cheating - How To Deal With It?

June 25th, 2009 | 01:49 pm
Relationships are difficult things to navigate through, and sometimes, for whatever reason, one person will cheat on the other.  In these instances, there's really only one course of action.  Lying.  But, there are two different ways to go about it.

Caught Off Guard Defensive Position

In this example, he's unprepared for her accusations, and when attacked, he attempts to come up with a lie.  Usually this results in an unconfident, unrealistic story about what he was doing.

Going On The Offensive

In this example, the cheater was prepared to get caught.  He immediately went on the offensive, which knocked his accuser off of her game, and gave him time to think of a decent alibi.  Next, his alibi was equally outlandish and completely believeable.  He was forceful and aggressive the entire time, which suggested that he was, indeed, telling the truth, and finally, he ended the whole discussion with an invitation to sex.  It was a well-played escape from the beginning, and something that we can all learn from.
